The 41st annual Timberfest celebration takes place in Sheridan beginning Oct. 4 and continuing Oct. 5.

And other lumberjacking activities will be competing for Arkansas State Championships sponsored by Relyance Bank.
The Chamber of Commerce has cancelled the BBQ competition this year but discussions on other cookouts are continuing.
Friday events include bingo, arts and crafts booths, a petting zoo, amusements and rides.
On Saturday, the Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast will take place from 7 a.m. to 9;45 a.m. and a 5K run will start from in front of the library at 8 a.m.
The newspaper reported that the Timberfest Parade will begin at 10 a.m. while the lumberjack competition will start at 11 a.m. behind the courthouse.
The festival will close with a performance by South of Saturn Band from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Relyance Bank Lumberjack Stage.
