Sheridan Major Cain Nattin is looking for applicants to fill a vacant position on the City Council.

David Damron, who is the council member for the city’s Second Ward has resigned because he is moving out of the ward.

According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, Damron was appointed to the council in 2021 to fill the unexpired term of Norman Frisby, who resigned.

The council accepted his resignation at its most recent meeting.

Citizens interested in the position must live in Ward 2 and they can go to city hall to see a map outlining the boundaries of the ward.

The Sheridan City Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month and council members are paid $450 per quarter for their service, the newspaper said.
