The City of Sheridan is another area in the Deltaplex coverage area that has been hit hard by winter weather. Mayor Cain Nattin spoke with Deltaplex News Thursday to discuss the damage that has taken place within the city with downed trees and power lines.
Nattin said one of the main issues is trees on power lines that local workers and firefighters can’t touch until Entergy Arkansas representatives show up to declare that the lines are without power.
Nattin said he has been in communication with Entergy Arkansas regarding the power outages. He said he was told that there is major damage, and “it could be a while” before power is restored in Sheridan.
He also said he is reaching out to local churches and businesses to see which ones of them may have generators providing power that could possibly be used as warming centers for local citizens.
