ORIGINAL STORY: White Hall boys head basketball coach Marc Stringer has passed away following a courageous battle with cancer.

Stringer was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2016, but was declared free of cancer in May 2018. However, Stringer was diagnosed a second time in the fall of 2018. He continued to coach the White Hall Bulldogs boys basketball team despite undergoing chemo treatments.

Just over a month ago, Stringer was admitted to ICU as his battle got harder. During the past month a 10 Push Up Challenge went viral on social media as student-athletes, coaches, administrators, teachers, and former student-athletes from across the state accepted the challenge.

More information will be released over the weekend regarding the situation.
