The body of Jolanda Jones, 26, was found on Port Road on February 24, 1994, and is one of some 90 murders nationwide that convicted serial killer Samuel Little, 76, has reportedly confessed to.

The death of Jones in 1994 was originally ruled as being drug-related. Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter has asked the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to take another look at Jones’ autopsy results to collaborate Little’s story.

Little was recently taken to Los Angeles, California, in January 2019 to answer charges for other murders, and on May 19, Pine Bluff Police Detective Steve Rucker went to Los Angeles to interview Little. Hopson said Little described details of how he killed Jones on Port Road. Those details have not yet been made public.

Little was asked about other possible crimes in Pine Bluff during that period and denied involvement in any others.
