Senator Stephanie Flowers seeks re-election for the District 25 Arkansas Senate Seat.
“It is an honor to be able to speak up and stand up for the needs and desires of all Arkansasans. It can be a struggle to fight for what’s right, but that’s exactly what I intend to do for the people in my district.”, says Flowers.
Senator Flowers is running as a democrat in the 2020 primary. She has served in the Arkansas House of Representatives for six years and was elected to the Arkansas Senate in 2010. She’s served as a private practice attorney for 37 years, serves on the Legislative council, and is a member of the Senate City, County and Local Governmental Affairs Committee.
Most recently, the senator received national attention during the 92nd general assembly when she passionately argued against a controversial “stand your ground bill”. The live streamed video was viewed more than 22 million times on social media, and the bill was ultimately defeated.
Primary elections will be March 3, 2020.
