Beginning in November in Chicot County, SEARK Concert Association will host a virtual talent show event in each county of SEARK’s seven county region, performed in a socially-distant and safe manner for all.
The Southeast Arkansas Concert Association continues its more than 41-year-long tradition of bringing the arts with excellence to Southeast Arkansas by bringing a safe and fun performing arts opportunity to the entire region – The Great SEARK Talent Hunt. This unique series of events has been created to allow Southeast Arkansans to experience copious amounts of incredible talent in the arts and to put Southeast Arkansas itself on the stage.
SEARK Concert Association’s Board of Directors announces the development of this virtual stage created to showcase Southeast Arkansas’s greatest talent over the next several months and invites performers ages 9-99 to participate. The series seeks to bring some sunshine and light to a difficult year with a mission to bring unity to the community of Southeast Arkansas.
SEARK Concert Association’s seven county area expected to host their own county-level event includes Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew and Lincoln counties. Each county show will feed its winners into a region-wide showcase in late spring 2021. At the spring showcase, the top talent from each county will compete for the grand prize. Performers may audition with a talent in the county of their home residence. Talents may fit anywhere within SEARK’s performance trifecta of music, dance, or theater. Cash prizes will be available at every level with more cash and an additional fabulous surprise opportunity for the Grand Prize Winner.
Chicot County’s Great SEARK Talent Hunt Show Information
Chicot County’s event will be recorded on November 14 in Chicot County and streamed on the SEARK Concert Facebook page later this year. Be sure not to miss all of the talent Chicot County has to offer right from the comfort of your living room. Follow SEARK Concert @searkconcert on social media to stay informed on every detail. Dates for the Great SEARK Talent Hunt in the remaining six counties are currently being arranged and will be announced soon via SEARK’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Video auditions of 90 seconds or less are due by November 2 at 11:59 p.m. Performers will be chosen and notified by November 7.
