A free drive-thru screening clinic for COVID-19 will be conducted May 12 at the Dumas Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. according to the McGehee Dermott Times-News.

The clinic will be conducted by the University of Arkansas for Medical Services (UAMS), the City of Dumas and Delta Memorial Hospital.

According to the newspaper, the evaluation clinic is for anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms including cough, fever, shortness of breath. Not everyone who is sick needs to be tested.

Doctors from UAMS will evaluate people to determine if they need to be tested, and if not, they will give instructions on how to take care of yourself and your family. If a person is tested, the results could take several days to come back and results will be reported by telephone.

An online screening tool is available at uamshealth.com/healthnow. Phone screening is available through the UAMS Health hotline at 800-632-4502/
