The Saracen Casino Resort and the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) are teaming up to provide no-cost COVID-19 vaccines on Monday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Casino in Pine Bluff. The one-shot dose will be available to anyone 18 years and older.
According to a press release, “This is Arkansas’s first such cooperative effort and a critical part of a statewide effort to meet Governor Asa Hutchinson’s directive of completing vaccine for at least 50 percent of Arkansas adults. More than 1,000,000 Arkansans are already fully vaccinated.”
“We are delighted to work with Saracen Casino Resort to offer this unique opportunity to their employees,” Ray Haley, President and CEO of AFMC said. “With the rise in the number of COVID cases because of the Delta variant, it is more important now more than ever to receive the vaccine.”
Carlton Saffa, Chief Marketing Officer at the Saracen Casino Resort said “Saracen has thousands of visitors every day and we’re thrilled to provide the state’s newest casino as a host site for free vaccinations. The health and safety of our guests and team members is a top priority. Helping make COVID vaccinations available is consistent with our deep commitment to Pine Bluff, Jefferson County, and all of Arkansas.”
Interested persons are asked to enter at the Bus Lobby entrance located at the front of the Casino. Guests are asked to bring photo identification and insurance card if available. AFMC is working on behalf of the Arkansas Department of Health to provide the inoculations.
