The Arts & Science Center announced that their new exciting and innovative youth cooking series is back this fall, with even more fun learning opportunities on tap sponsored by Saracen Casino Resort.

Their website has the Registration information that is now open for the next CrEATe Lab series. The sessions are from 1–3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Nov. 20, and Dec. 4, 2021.

The series is for ages 10-17 and is limited to 7 students. The cost is $35 for all six sessions, and half scholarships are available.

CrEATe Lab’s purpose is to help families turn knowledge of dietary choices into meals that they will enjoy and can afford.

Faith Anaya and the staff of her cooking school Kids Cook are returning to provide their food expertise and lead the weekly sessions. Registered Dietician Robin Gipson, RD, of Arkansas Children’s Hospital will provide a nutrition workshop during the Nov. 6 session. And a member of the culinary team at Saracen Casino Resort will be on hand during the final session on Dec. 4 for a discussion on food careers and a knife demonstration.

The public can get a free taste of CrEATe Lab offerings, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, during Second Saturday Family FunDay. Anaya will be on hand to show visitors how to make trail mix and fruit kabobs.
