The White Hall City Council unanimously confirmed Sara Lunsford to fill the position vacated when her husband, Andrew “Andy” Lunsford was tragically killed in a vehicle accident on December 31.

White Hall Mayor Noel Foster said that Lunsford expressed interest in the position, and that is what helped lead her to the position.

Foster also said the White Hall City Council believed that appointing Lunsford was the right thing to do.

Lunsford said that she didn’t know the process that it would take to be appointed in her husband’s place, but she was interested in doing so from the beginning.

She also said she looks forward to carrying on the things her husband was passionate about.

Lunsford also spoke about her husband and the things that he loved the most.

Lunsford will serve the full term left vacant by her husband’s untimely death.
