Star City School Superintendent Jordan Frizzell told a meeting of the school board Wednesday that they should begin thinking about repairing or replacing the road that runs between the middle school campus and the field house.

According to the Lincoln Ledger newspaper, Frizzell said that road is used by the buses daily during the school year to load and unload middle and high school students.

Frizzell said the board should consider all options. The road could be replaced with concrete, which would be expensive, but would last much longer than repairing problem spots with asphalt patches.

In other business, the board approved the purchase of desktop computers for the middle school lab in the amount of just over $23,000 and an additional $40,000 for the middle school heating and air conditioning system replacement.

Assistant Superintendent Gina Richard told the board that the district had received a mini-grant of $7,500 that will be used to purchase physical education equipment and curriculum.
