On Nov. 9, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced multiple arrests were being made in a crackdown on gang activity in Little Rock and Pine Bluff.

The Pine Bluff investigation targeted EBK gang , Everybody’s Killers, and 35 people were named in indictments returned by a grand jury.

On Thursday, Pine Bluff Police Chief Denise Richardson was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked about the investigation and series of arrests.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Richardson if the involvement of federal authorities and the longer prison sentences with no parole in the federal system could serve as a deterrent to those thinking about committing a crime.

Richardson was also asked how Pine Bluff got involved and answered this way.
