#ProHogs Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Razorbacks alumni, who are currently playing pro basketball.

#1. Jessica Jackson (6’4”-PF-95, graduated ’17, plays pro in Greece) led PAOK to a victory over the closely-ranked Niki Lefkadas (11-10) 80-71 in the Greek A1 in Sunday night’s game. She was MVP of the game. Jackson scored 28 points (!!!) and grabbed 7 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in 34 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it’s only her second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. PAOK Thessaloniki (17-4) is placed second in the A1. It was her team’s sixth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Jackson has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages 18.2ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.8apg in 21 games she played so far.

#2. Experienced Lauren Ervin (6’3”-F-85, graduated ’08, plays in Turkey) contributed to an easy victory against one of league’s weakest teams Galatasaray Gelisim Istanbul (3-27) crushing them 87-48 in the Turkish TKBL (second division) last Saturday. She scored 8 points, had 14 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Elazig Il Ozel Idare (24-6) is placed second in the TKBL. It was her team’s ninth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Ervin has very high stats. She averages 15.4ppg, 14.2rpg, 3.1apg and 3.2spg.

#3. Ana Faussurier (6’3”-PF-94, graduated ’14, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (second division) could not help UCAM Jairis in their last game. Despite her good performance her team was crushed 80-50 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) Campus Promete in the Group B. Faussurier scored 10 points in 35 minutes. It’s Faussurier’s first season with the team. She has very impressive stats this year 15.4ppg, 14.2rpg, 3.1apg and 3.2spg in 10 games.
