According to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office, 444 people cast ballots early before early voting ended last Friday.
The polls are open today from 7;30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. as voters will decide races for First and Third Ward aldermen ad the constable Vaugine Township.
Mike Adam, chairman of eh Jefferson County Election Commission, told Deltaplex News that there has been one change in a polling site but otherwise, the sites are the same as they were for the primary election.
In the first ward, front-runner LaTisha Brunson faces Danny Walker while in the third ward, incumbent Ivan Whitfield is challenger Lanette Frazier.
