A police report obtained by Rolling Stone has revealed more info on the alleged encounters between a young woman and ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, which led to his firing from the band last month.

As previously reported, video of interactions between Ellefson and the woman surfaced online in May, along with allegations that the musician was grooming an underage fan. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Ellefson confirmed the authenticity of the videos but denied that the other person was underage, describing the encounters as “private, adult interactions.”

Ellefson also said that the video was leaked by a third party in an attempt to “inflict maximum damage to my reputation, my career and family.”

According to Rolling Stone, Ellefson filed a report with the Scottsdale Police Department in Arizona, in which he alleges that he is the victim of revenge porn.

In the report, police write that Ellefson first met the person involved at a 2019 concert in Holland, and they continued to communicate through social media before meeting in person a second time in The Netherlands around February 2020.

“[Ellefson] stated there was no physical contact and they just had a conversation,” the report reads. “He stated there has never been any sexual physical contact between the two.”

They continued to talk online, and in the summer of 2020, they began masturbating in front of each other over Facebook Messenger. Ellefson told police that he and the other person had “four to five masturbating encounters” up until around February 2021.

“[The other party] admitted to Mr. Ellefson that she had recorded two to three videos of him masturbating without his consent or knowledge,” the report reads.

The report also confirms that the other person was 19 years old at the time of these encounters.

Rolling Stone reports their request for comment from Ellefson’s lawyer and the woman were not immediately answered.

Two weeks after Ellefson first addressed the videos in his Instagram post, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine issued a statement saying the bassist was no longer in the band.

“While we do not know every detail of what occurred, with an already strained relationship, what has already been revealed now is enough to make working together impossible moving forward,” the statement read.
