Pine Bluff Police have identified the victim of the city’s first homicide of 2021 as 54-year-old Larry Williams of Pine Bluff.

The body of Williams was found outside a residence in the 1200 block of West 29th Avenue Thursday after police responded to a report of a possible body. Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher pronounced Williams dead at 1:57 p.m. and listed the cause of death as possible gunshot wounds. The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the official cause and manner of death.

The case is still under investigation and there are no suspects at this time.

Police Sgt. Richard Wegner said anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Division at 870-730-2090 or the Dispatch Center at 541-5300. A reward is available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
