A Pine Bluff man was arrested Friday after he allegedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend.

Scotty Jackson, 25, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported disturbance at an apartment on West 40th Avenue.

According to a -probable cause affidavit from Detective Jason Boykin, the female victim said she and Jackson got into an altercation after he found she was checking text messages on his phone.  She said he pulled out a handgun, pointed it at her and cocked it twice.

When Jackson was interviewed, he said she had his gun in her purse and he got it and left the apartment.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $1,50o bond for Jackson after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
