The Pines Mall was scheduled to go to auction on Monday, June 6, but documents obtained by Deltaplex News show that the auction has been postponed, and the auction will now be operated by a different company.
The original auction was listed by David Elrod Real Estate out of Little Rock. Deltaplex News learned Tuesday that The Weitzman Group, a firm based in Texas, now controls the property. They have now scheduled an online auction that will run from June 20 through June 23. It is unknown how The Weitzman Group gained control of the property at this time.
The original auction listed an opening bid of $1.5 Million. No opening bid has been provided to Deltaplex News for the new auction that is currently scheduled.
