UPDATE 11:36 A.M.:
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Leonico Florez, a Hispanic male from Clarendon. Florez died due to a gunshot wound to the upper body, and was pronounced deceased at 2:19 a.m. by Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of investigating a homicide.
Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of McConnell Circle in reference to a shooting.
Upon arriving, officers found an unresponsive male lying inside an apartment. The identity of the male is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
No suspect information is available.
