A Pine Bluff woman was among two people killed in a two-vehicle traffic accident at Lake Village Thursday.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Karena M. Everett, 23, and Diamane Estrellas, 23, of Little Rock died when a 2018 Hyundai driven by Everett failed to yield at a red light and turned into the path of a Peterbilt Tractor-Trailer that was making a left turn onto Green Arrow Street.
The accident was reported at 7:40 a.m. on U.S. Highway 65 and Highway 82 in Chicot County. It was raining at the time, the report said.
