An accident between a pedestrian and a vehicle Wednesday night has claimed the life of a Pine Bluff woman.
Erica Latrice Akins, a 46-year old African-American female, was attempting to cross the intersections of Harding Avenue and Ohio Street when she was struck by a passing vehicle. Akins was transported to the Jefferson Regional emergency room where she was pronounced deceased by emergency room doctors.
The cause of death is listed as multiple blunt force trauma caused by the accident.
The incident is still under investigation by the Pine Bluff Police Department.
