A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly stabbed her roommate.

Christine Thompson, 33, will have to post a $5,000 bond to be released from the adult detention center after Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled Wednesday prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with second-degree domestic battery.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King told the court an officer was sent to Jefferson Regional Hospital after a reported stabbing.

King said Thompson has previous arrests for domestic battery but there is no record of her being convicted.

Thompson said she would hire her own attorney and was told to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
