A reported domestic disturbance in the early morning hours Sunday resulted in the arrest of a woman who had a prior conviction for domestic battery and is facing a felony allegation.

Angelia Williams Obasade, 32, pleaded no contest to third-degree domestic battery, reduced from the second-degree battery on May 11, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said during a court hearing Wednesday.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Keith Banks, King said at 5:10 a.m., police responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1700 block of Mulberry Street and talked to Obasade.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Obasade after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with a second offense of third-degree domestic battery. She said she would hire her own attorney.

King told the court that her boyfriend had signed an affidavit saying she did not assault him and that was a part of the case file.
