The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of a homicide investigation.
At about 2:40 a.m. officers were sent to the Beech Street Apartments in the 2100 Block of Beech Street in reference to someone having been shot. Upon arrival officers located a deceased male lying on the ground between the two buildings of the apartments.
There are no suspects or motives know at this time as the investigation has just begun.
The victim has been identified as 58-year-old Clyde Scott of Pine Bluff. His body will be sent to the state crime lab to determine an official cause and manner of death.
This is the 11th homicide in Pine Bluff for 2022.
