The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on February 5, 2025, at approximately 2:44 P.M. Officers were dispatched to the area of West 33rd Avenue and South Olive Street in response to reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers observed a grey Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with front-end damage, a red passenger car with severe driver-side damage, and a white passenger car that was also struck as a result of the collision.
The driver of the red passenger car, identified as 62-year-old Larry Strong, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Pine Bluff Fire Department. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley at 3:18 P.M. A passenger in the red vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by EASI Ambulance Inc. to Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) for treatment.
The drivers of both the grey pickup truck and the white passenger car did not sustain life-threatening injuries and were not transported to JRMC.
