Sunday’s homicide victim has been identified at 27-year-old Mari Martin
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of a homicide investigation. Dispatchers received a call at 1:31 PM of a shooting at 1501 W. 25th.
When Officers arrived they located a male with apparent gunshot wounds lying in the street. The male was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
The shooting apparently stemmed from an altercation resulting in shots being fired.
Detectives are interviewing several witnesses at the time of this release. Further information will be released when it is available.
The victim’s family has not been notified at the time of this release. The victim’s identity will be released after family has been notified.
The body will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death. This will be the 27th homicide for Pine Bluff in 2021.
