Suspect arrested after firing shot at a Pine Bluff Police Officer

UPDATE 8:10 PM: Pine Bluff Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. David DeFoor has provided the following statement to Deltaplex News regarding a suspect firing a shot at a Pine Bluff Police Officer.

The name of the suspect arrested in the incident has not been released at this time.

UPDATE 7:03 PM: Law enforcement sources have informed Deltaplex News that an officer responded to a disturbance on Thrasher Road when a subject shot at a Pine Bluff Police Officer. The officer then called for assistance.

Officers from multiple agencies responded in force, made entry into the home, and took the suspect into custody.

Neither the suspect nor any officers were harmed.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley informed Deltaplex News that he was dispatched to the scene, but there was no need for dispatchers to have done so according to law enforcement on the scene.

The name of the suspect has not been released at this time.

The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of a shooting investigation on Thrasher Road near Chapel Heights.

Very little information is available at this time, but Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has informed Deltaplex News that he has been dispatched to the scene.
