A $5,000 cash-only bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons-related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Marlon Clark, 26, with possession of the controlled substance marijuana, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning Center said during the court hearing that Arkansas State Trooper Harrell was in the area of West 29th Avenue and Elm Street Monday at 1:55 p.m. looking for Clark, who had felony warrants for fleeing in a vehicle causing danger and possession of a controlled substance.

Harrell reported seeing a vehicle that matched the description that was driven by Clark, who he knew from previous encounters, and conducted a traffic stop.

Clark said he would hire his own attorney.
