A Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday after he was stopped driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

Christopher Slay, 18, will have to post a $7,050 bond to be released from the adult detention center after Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft by receiving.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson read a probable cause affidavit from Detective Tamina Smith to explain the circumstance leading to the arrest.

Carson said Slay had no prior felony convictions or pending charges and the Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent him.
