A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of fleeing from White Hall Police at high-speed Wednesday and hitting another vehicle during the chase.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kelbe Roberts, 18, with felony fleeing, aggravated assault, and criminal mischief.

Reading an affidavit from White Hall Police Investigator Clayton Cantrell, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said White Hall Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Roberts because it had a defective tail light.

Roberts was ordered to have no contact with the victims and said he would hire his own attorney.
