As a result of an order by Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington Monday, Pine Bluff District Court where Judge John Kearney presides is closed.
According to an email from Chief Deputy Clerk Veronica Young on Tuesday, there are no longer any staff in the office to answer questions about court matter. All court matters except Felony probable cause hearings and jail log cases are cancelled until further notice.
Please watch for public announcements by Mayor Washington and County Judge Gerald Robinson for the reopening of business to the public, at that time you will need to appear in Court for adjudication of citations, warrants, etc. If anything changes as far as the possibility of getting tickets in the system so that you can pay citations online, Young said she would do her best to get the information out.
