The Pine Bluff City Council on Monday went back and forth before approving a request from Pine Bluff City Clerk Janice Roberts to move money already in her budget to another line item.
Appearing on the Oldies 101.3 morning show Tuesday, Council Member Joni Alexander explained what Roberts wanted to do.
The proposed resolution said “the benefits from a comprehensive analysis include determining training needs, appropriate compensation, duties and performance reviews” and went on to say “the Johanson Group has conducted a job analysis of city positions in the past and was the firm which conducted the last analysis of the city clerk’s office.”
The final vote to approve the resolution and a companion resolution to approve amending the city budget and allowing Roberts to move the funds was 5-3. Alexander was asked who opposed the action and said
Council Member Glen Brown Sr., also voted no.
