A Dequeen man was killed Tuesday morning when he was hit by three different vehicles while standing in the fast lane of Highway 71 at Ashdown.
According to a preliminary report, James Revels, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by a 2012 Chevrolet, a 2021 Ford F250 and a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado that were all southbound.
The drivers of the vehicles were not injured.
The accident was reported at 6:34 a.m. and the death was the 55th so far this year on the state’s highways.
