During the recently completed election for a member of the Pine Bluff School District board, one of the candidates was very critical of the way the district currently gets ready for students to take state mandated tests, saying that students should be taught how to pass the test.
Oldies 1013 Morning Show host Greg Horne was critical of that, asking what was more important, teaching a test or teaching kids how to be smarter. He asked Pine Bluff School District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree that when she was a guest on the show.
She said the school district took the science interim assessment.
She went on and explained further.
Horne then said he understands why the testing is necessary.
