33-year-old Deric Smith and 23-year-old Lemiesha Toney have been booked into the Jefferson County jail for Capital Murder and Battery 1st Degree.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A shooting Friday in the 1600 block of West 16th Avenue has left a Pine Bluff man dead.

According to Pine Bluff Police Department Information Officer Lieutenant David DeFoor, the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to gunshots in the area of 16th Avenue and Plum Street.

Upon arrival, officers found 34-year-old Emmanuel Foster lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead on the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley at 3:20 p.m. with apparent gunshot wounds.

Another victim, 37-year-old Jason Anderson was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center with serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

This is the sixth homicide in Pine Bluff in 2020, and the second homicide this week.
