An arrest has been made in connection to the murder of 48-year-old Armechi Morgan of Pine Bluff. Morgan was found deceased in his home in the 100 block of Talbot Street Thursday afternoon.

Investigators at the scene told DeltaplexNews.com that the victim has been deceased for “at least two to three days”.

Morgan was pronounced deceased at 2:40 p.m. by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher.

DeltaplexNews.com was also informed Thursday at the scene that 26-year-old Breanna Moses was a person of interest in the homicide, and an active investigation into her location was underway.

Moses was booked into the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center at 2:42 a.m. Friday morning on a charge of First Degree Murder.

Pine Bluff Police Chief Kelvin Sergeant told DeltaplexNews.com that Moses was located Thursday and interviewed Friday morning due to being intoxicated at the time she was detained.

“We located her late yesterday and interviewed her this morning,” said Sergeant. “The reason we didn’t interview her last night was [because] she was intoxicated with something, so we did not interview her until she sobered up. Just based on information that we gathered in the interview we felt sufficient enough to charge her with first degree murder.”

Sergeant also said Moses is the only suspect in the case.

“Right now, of the information that we’ve got, she would be the only suspect,” Sergeant said.
