A recent housefire in Greenwood resulted in the deaths of several people was a topic of discussion when Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Chief Shauwn Howell was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Host Greg Horne talked about the effect of those deaths on the family and the community, then said that the firefighters who were there battling the blaze had to be affected too.
Howell brought up the call volume and told Howell it looked like the call volume here increased some.
Horne told Howell that the weather had been unseasonably warm but at some point it’s going to get cold and people are going to start turning on their heaters. He asked if that was a concern.
Horne then mentioned abandoned properties.
