After working with Andrew Watt on his new album Ordinary Man, Ozzy Osbourne is once again teaming up with the producer for another record. Speaking to Guitar.com, Watt shares that he and the metal legend have formed a strong connection.

“It was a true dream,” Watt says of recording Ordinary Man with Ozzy. “When you look back on a career in music and being blessed enough to be a musician, it’s those kinds of moments that will really stick.”

“I’ve spent so much time with someone I idolize,” he continues. “Ozzy’s like a family member now.”

As work on the next album begins, Watt says he and Ozzy “talk every single day.”

“His whole family is the most giving family,” Watt says. “Ozzy was very sick when we started [Ordinary Man] recovering from his neck surgery and this album gave him another lease on life. It was the first time I’d ever been involved in something musical that was about something greater than the music. It saved this guy’s life.”

He adds, “I reached my childhood dream of being able to make rock ‘n’ roll with the exact person I wanted to make it with.”

Earlier this month, Watt told Guitar World that the next Ozzy record will feature Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters and Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo. Ordinary Man was recorded with Smith and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses.
