One person was killed and a second injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pulaski County early Monday.

According to a preliminary report, Max Morden, 23, of Sherwood was southbound on Highway 107 passing highway 89 when the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving was struck head-on by a 2021 Honda Civic that had crossed the center line.

Morden was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner and the driver of the Honda Civic, Anna Waits, 26, of Sherwood was taken to UAMS by ambulance.

The accident was reported at 12:10 a.m. and he death was the 333rd so far this year on the state’s highways.
