A Pine Bluff woman was killed and a Stuttgart man injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Arkansas River Bridge Thursday morning.
According to a -preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Taronda Thomas, 22, was northbound on U.S. 63 and was crossing the bridge when the 2013 Hyundai she was driving crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2019 Jeep driven by Anthony Crow, 21, of Stuttgart that was southbound.
Crow was injured and taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital, the report said.
The accident was reported at 10:07 a.m. and the death was the 540th of the year on the state’s highways.
