A Kingsland woman was killed and a Hot Springs woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in rural Grant County Friday.

According to a preliminary report, Janet Gaddy, 61, was southbound on U.S. 167 when a 2022 Toyota Corolla driven by Geraldine Boyd, 76, of Hot Springs that had been northbound crossed the center line and hit the 2013 Chevrolet equinox driven by Gaddy head-on.

Gaddy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. Boyd was injured and taken to a Little Rock hospital.

The accident was reported at 7:50 p.m. and the death was the 34th so far this year on the state’s highways.
