A North Little Rock man was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Pulaski County Sunday afternoon.

According to a preliminary report, Joseph Steven Montgomery, 38, was eastbound on Interstate 440 near the 13-mile marker when the left front bumper of a front bumper of a 2003 Honda Accord that was also eastbound struck the rear bumper of the 2003 Honda T7D he was driving.

The drivers of both vehicles lost control near the north shoulder after impact and the vehicle driven by Montgomery went airborne over the concrete barrier and came to rest under the bridge structure. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The accident was reported at 12:09 p.m. and the death was the 212th so far this year on the state’s highways.
