According to a press release from the Monticello Fire Department, firefighters was called to a structure fire at a S. Pine Street mobile home park at 11:38PM, October 26, 2024.
Engine 1, Engine 2, & Monticello Police Dept & Southeast Emergency Medical and Monticello Ambulance Services responded.
The mobile home was fully involved upon arrival.
Upon entry, the fire attack team located and removed an adult female victim. The attack team returned to find a second minor victim.
The adult female was pronounced deceased on scene.
The minor was transported to Baptist Health Drew County. His condition is unkown at this time.
