1937-2024

Von Dale Lee, 86 of Vilonia, AR, passed away from a fall which resulted in multiple strokes on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born on December 30, 1937, to Roy V. Lee and Eulas Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Violet Stevens Lee; his oldest brother, R. B. Lee and wife, Frances Lee; and brother-in-law, Larry G. “Sonny” Harris.

He is survived by his two daughters, Glenda (Hal) Sellers of Vilonia, AR, and Beth (David) Swaim of Van Buren, AR; three grandchildren, Amanda (Byron) Baker of Vilonia, Steven (Sara) Sellers of Alma, AR, and Hayley Swaim Short from Sapulpa, OK; and three great-grandchildren, Leah Baker of Vilonia; Wesley Swaim and Easton Swaim of Van Buren; one brother, Charles (Michelle) Lee; one sister, Linda Harris; one sister-in-law, Arzella Stevens; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Von was a faithful follower of Christ all of his life. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Vilonia, AR. He worked at the Log Cabin Democrat for 35 years as the head pressman for the printing press before retiring and working for his brothers driving a dump truck, trimming houses and building cabinets. He was definitely a jack-of-all-trades. He also served in the Arkansas National Guard.

Graveside services will be held at the Vilonia Cemetery on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
