Sandra Ross Capps, 76
1948-2024
Sandra Ross Capps, 76, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 23, 2024 at her and her daughter’s home in Arkadelphia, AR. She was born on January 31, 1948 in DeWitt, AR to Love Elliott Ross & Shirley May (Staton) Ross.

Sandy was a member of First Baptist Church in DeWitt, AR. She retired from Arkadelphia Public Schools where she served as an elementary art teacher for 25 years. Prior to her husband’s passing, she cared for him and her three children and was a staple volunteer for anything and everything in her community. Sandra exemplified dedication, loyalty, passion, creativity, and enthusiasm with everything. From coaching softball teams alongside her husband, teaching private art lessons, building sets for local plays, events, or musicals, performing as the clown leading the Kinder-lympics, face painting at every fair or field day, to constructing, and painting an entire nativity scene for Almyra Methodist Church. She was also an avid cook and gardener. Sandra’s talents, interests, and knowledge were literally endless!

Sandy most loved taking care of and being surrounded by her family, but nothing gave her more joy than being “Nanny” to all and cheering on all of her boys at any football, baseball, or basketball game! She was the ultimate Badger fan!!!

Sandra lived every part of her life in FULL color. Therefore, she has specifically requested those in attendance to wear their brightest, most cheerful attire and come prepared to CELEBRATE and dance

In addition to her parents, L.E. and Shirley Ross, Sandy is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Milton Gene Capps and her sister, Denise Lee (Ross) Morris.
