Ms. Roxie L. Shaw (Foxy Roxy to the ones that knew her well), was born to the late Erma G. Reed and Freddy Phelps on Monday, February 6, 1956. She departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
Roxie was 68 years young.
Roxie confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Cousin, and Friend.
Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Al Reed Jr., David Phelps Sr. , Joe Phelps, and her sister Elaine Reed.
Roxie leaves to cherish her memory a son Laron(Shunta)Shaw Sr., a daughter Tammy Shaw-Cobbs, both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Roxie has a total of 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Nora J. McLemore of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Barbara Adeyeo of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. One brother: Phillip (Sharon)Reed Sr. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR. Visitation 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Funeral Service will start at 3:30 p.m. Dr. Louise Tyler Tisdale officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery Pine Bluff, AR by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
