Lillie Marie McKinzie was born on July 28, 1956, in Dumas, Arkansas, to the late Catherine Jackson-McKinzie and Royal McKinzie. On Thursday, August 15, 2024, she peacefully departed this life at her home.
Lillie received her education in the Dumas Public School System and later earned her CNA certificate. She had a deep passion for caring for others and served her community by assisting with various tasks and household duties. She also enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Above all, Lillie loved the Lord and accepted Him as her personal Savior. She was a devoted member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as an Usher under the leadership of Pastor Dontae Nicholson until her health declined. Lillie had a deep affection for her church family, and the love was mutual.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Catherine Jackson-McKinzie, and a brother and sister from another mother, Linda Robinson and James K.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Catherine Allen-Robinson of Dallas, Texas; Jimmy (Tomikia) Burgess of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Kenyatta (Mayumi) Johnson of Waxahachie, Texas; Aubrey McKinzie of Dumas, Arkansas; and Craig (Brook) Smith of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She is also survived by nine siblings: Carolyn Stevenson of Dumas, Arkansas; Glen (Adrian) Jackson Sr. of Dumas, Arkansas; Patricia Baker of Dumas, Arkansas; Roy McKinzie of Dumas, Arkansas; Michael (Consuela) McKinzie of Dewitt, Arkansas; Ronnie (Gwen) McKinzie of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Elnora McKinzie of Dumas, Arkansas; Derrick (Sherron) McKinzie of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Alandria McKinzie of Dumas, Arkansas. Additionally, she is remembered by her 30 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
