Juanita Cooney, 91

Juanita Cooney, 91, of White Hall, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 16, 2024. She was born November 19, 1932, in Pine Bluff to Chester William and Vera McBryde Morrison. She was a graduate of White Hall High School. She married the love of her life, Harold E. Cooney, on August 13, 1950, in White Hall, where they made their home and raised their four sons. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Juanita loved working in the Lee Memorial and later First Baptist Church of White Hall nursery and never held a baby she didn’t love. She enjoyed working in her garden and canning. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. Juanita and Harold loved to go camping and were on the go for their adventures.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rhonda Cooney.

Survivors include four sons, Harold E. Cooney, Jr. and wife, Monica, of Carlisle, PA, Tim Cooney and wife, Pam, of White Hall, Larry Cooney and wife, Susan of Lake of the Woods, VA, and Kevin Cooney of Blythewood, SC; her twin sister, Annita Harris of Prague, AR; six grandchildren, Brandon, Kristin, Tiffany, Zachary, Jacob, and Lauren; 5 great-grandchildren, McKenna, Keely, Dean, Jack, and Luke; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow in White Hall United Methodist Cemetery. The family asks that you please dress casually.

Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M. Friday, June 21, 2024, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of White Hall, 8708 Dollarway Rd., White Hall, AR 71602.
