1937-2024
Joseph M. Heflin, 87 of Star City passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at Dalton’s Place. He was born January 13, 1937 in Lincoln County to the late Thurman Neal and Aline Elizabeth Bradshaw Heflin. He was a graduate of Star City High School and a technical training school. He was an engineer for Griffin Dewatering in Hammond, IN for 50 years and was a 33rd degree Master Mason and a Shriner.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bulla Faye Newson Heflin; son, Joseph Craig Heflin; and a grandson, Daniel Heflin.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Neal Heflin of Bellville, MI; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Heflin of Indiana; brother, Neal B. (Donna) Heflin of Star City; sister, Glinda Heflin Brown of Monticello; and two grandchildren, Joshua Heflin and Wayne Heflin.
Visitation is 12:00PM-1:30PM Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Graveside services are 2:00PM Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Drake Cemetery with Bobby Beard officiating.
